Love the mod so far Cyerus, looking forward to the update for Inferno.
I'm having an issue with users having their account disabled, sometimes weeks after having a functional account.
Checking back through the cron output, I've come across the following error whenever a user's account is deactivated:
05-22-2012 15:00:05 *username* EVE API error: 221 -> Illegal page request! Please verify the access granted by the key you are using! 05-22-2012 15:00:05 *username* User is a Non-Member 05-22-2012 15:00:05 *username* Removing user from Forum group -> Crimson Cell 05-22-2012 15:00:05 *username* Removing user sessions and disabling account
At first I thought the user had just forgotten to check the No Expiry check box, so had them re-enable their account with the eveapi_update.php form, but on the next cronjob, the user had their account deactivated again.
Then I came across the next problem. After this had happened a few times, I had the user create a new API key, and run the update script using the new key. Again, the user was reactivated without an issue, but on the next cron the following error appeared:
05-23-2012 19:00:10 *username* EVE API error: 203 -> Authentication failure. 05-23-2012 19:00:10 *username* Character and API settings do not match 05-23-2012 19:00:10 *username* Removing user from Forum group -> Crimson Cell 05-23-2012 19:00:10 *username* Removing user sessions and disabling account
Upon checking the user's information through the PHPBB admin panel, I found that while the script had run successfully and allowed the user to log in, it had not updated the user's API information in their profile to the new key.
This has happened to 3 users so far out of 14, all of them popping up in the last day or two, so I'm just wondering if this has happened to anyone else, or if anyone knows a way to fix it.
Thanks for your time :)

I would just make the format {Ship Type} - {Fitting Name} on a single line. ie: Oneiros - Lvl5 Cap Stable |

Is there anyway of having more than the 5 special groups immune to the Cronjob?
Regards
I believe both of these can be changed as in this post:

Decaedron wrote:Yesterday I investigated this issue... it may be connected with Pheal and a time out request from the API site (at least for my case).
in Pheal config file, I changed http method to https and it's working great now ! I have tried this, but with no luck, accounts still get disabled with a valid key |

Cyerus wrote:Decaedron wrote:Thanks for the update Cyerus ! I ran into issues, upgrading from latest version : - When installing the API mod (step 4), I had a sql error (sorry, I didnt copy it). I tried to install again, and it worked - At step 9, I have this error : Could not upload attachment to ./../store/mods/eve_api_6.zip. I had to manually modify the mods folder rights. Now in ACP, I can't associate Alliances and Corporations to groups ! http://clip2net.com/s/24IuF Are you sure you followed all the steps? It sounds like you forgot to upload some files from the upload directory. You can also try to remove and then re-add the EVE API modules. The error of step 9 is because the directory didn't have the right permissions to allow file uploads. This is a generic phpBB error which should be pointed out during initial phpBB installation. Hi Cyerus, I am also having the issue of Corp and Alliance modules not working, and the user's section doesn't have any API sections associated with them. http://i.imgur.com/jPHSv.png http://i.imgur.com/7R4E2.png http://i.imgur.com/sGh4Y.png
Edit: New user registration also contains no section for users to enter their API information |

Greetings -
I've just tried reinstalling this on a fresh install of phpbb3, and I'm having issues.
The install went perfectly fine, I've added the ACP modules, saved the default settings, enabled the masterswitch and flushed the cache, but the API fields do not show up at all. I'm using the default prosilver style currently, as it is just a test site to see if I could get it working, as I have not been able to since upgrading from V5.
I used the new user installation instructions listed in this post: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=1555109#post1555109
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, I've had no errors, and the mod is at least partially installed, as I can add the ACP modules.
Any ideas? |

I was having this issue, and it turns out (for me at least) that while Automod was saying that it was editing files successfully, it actually wasn't due to permission errors. I had to use the Compressed File Download configuration, then upload the edited files manually. Check that this is or isn't the case for you guys, it worked for me after this. I believe that Cyerus is still working on an update for the 3.0.11 version of PHPBB3, so for now I'd stick with 3.0.10. Hope this helps. |
